SHAKING TO FREEDOM

                                 TRE™

Tension & Trauma Release Exercises

A practical and effective technique that reduces stress and tension, helping the body and nervous system return to a

healthy state.

How does it work?

When stressed, our bodies release stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. Our bodies respond with a faster heartrate, changes in blood pressure, sweating and shaking/vibrating. This shaking happens naturally to mammals and is the body’s way of moving excess energy out of the system. If not moved out fully, our bodies can hold on to muscle tensions that can interfere with our lives – as in the case of PTSD. 7 simple exercises, developed by Dr. David Berceli, PhD*, invite these tremors, and the body can then rid itself of the damaging muscle patterns and the symptoms that accompany them.

Once learned, TRE can be used throughout life to support personal health and well-being.
